Florida’s side-by-side coastal towns of Sawgrass and Ponte Vedra Beach offer idyllic living on the Atlantic Coast. Located roughly 25 miles southeast of Jacksonville, this area basks in plenty of that famous Florida sunshine, with winter temperatures only dipping down into the 50s and summer peaking around 90 degrees.
The region is perhaps best known for TPC Sawgrass, with two championship golf courses, The Players Stadium Course (home of the Players Championship) and Dye’s Valley Course. Both are open to the public, so go ahead and book a tee time. But bring your A game — the Stadium course, with its famed island green on the 17th hole, is one of the most challenging in the country.
In Ponte Vedra you’ll find the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, a luxury resort that boasts private beaches, the well-known Ponte Vedra Racquet Club, 10 restaurants, an indulgent spa and upscale shopping.
