Cryptocurrency no longer occupies a niche corner of the financial market. More people around the world are including crypto in their investment mix and want the option to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to purchase goods and services. In response to this growing consumer demand, Pacaso is excited to begin accepting cryptocurrency as a payment option for second home purchases, making it the first second home marketplace to enable payment with digital currency. Buyers can also pay with cash, a blend of cash and crypto, or use crypto for a down payment and finance up to 70% of their second home purchase.
Partnering with BitPay
Our goal is to make it easier for people to buy and own second homes, and paying with crypto is no exception. To facilitate a fast and streamlined transaction, we’ve partnered with BitPay, a leading crypto payment service provider. Pacaso buyers who pay with crypto will complete their purchase using BitPay’s intuitive platform, where they can select the wallet and coin of their choice. Coin options include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) and several other cryptocurrencies, including five USD-pegged stablecoins.
Better for buyers
Pacaso is committed to responsive service and meeting the needs (and then some!) of our customers today. At the same time, we think it’s essential to continue innovating and looking toward the future. As we expand globally, we anticipate serving buyers with diverse financial portfolios and different payment preferences — and crypto opens the door to more flexible buying options. “Digital currencies and the blockchains that power them are seeing increased adoption across the real estate industry, and a crypto payment option is a recurring topic in our conversations with prospective buyers of second homes,” said Pacaso CEO Austin Allison. “As we expand internationally and put second home co-ownership within reach for more people across the globe, we’re thrilled to be able to respond to that demand and extend as many payment options as we can to our customers.”Visit our financing page for more details about ways to pay for your Pacaso, including answers to common questions about financing and paying with cryptocurrency.
